George Wallace - President & CEO

George Wallace is the President and CEO of The Discovery Communications Group, an award-winning website design / development, marketing and advertising agency located in Salem, NH. DCG is the fourth of five businesses he has started from scratch. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from UMass/Boston and attended graduate school at Babson College in Wellesley, MA.

George believes that giving back to the community is something that needs to be done rather than talked about. He has been an active member of many boards such as: the Big Brother Association of Massachusetts Bay, Save the Harbor/Save the Bay, Child Hope, the Boys and Girls Clubs (Middlesex County and Salem, NH), The Quest Foundation, and has raised many thousands of dollars for these and other charities.

George is a published author, age group triathlete, marathon swimmer and thoroughly enjoys hot political debates. Bill Karas - Director of Online Marketing

I co-founded MSD Enterprises, an Internet marketing company in Miami, FL, and quickly harnessed the world of arbitrage marketing and affiliate/performance marketing. As these industries were relatively new, I developed an analytics and optimization technology, which helped turn MSD into a formidable marketing machine.

During this time, I specialized in search engine optimization, search engine marketing, email marketing, advanced analytics, landing page / conversion page optimization, geo-regional / day-parting optimization and traffic source optimization. After selling MSD, I retired from the industry to spend time raising my family in NH.

Throughout my career, I have owned several companies including Miami Computer Repair, which was the top computer repair company in Miami, FL. This gave me great insight into managing a mid-sized organization with a diverse range of team members and clients.

Over time, I discovered that I thrived on the creative challenges in Internet marketing, and I decided that I wanted to lend my expertise to the industry again. I joined The Discovery Communications Group in July of 2011 and became a partner in the company within three months. As the mobile web and social media continue to quickly integrate itself into online marketing, search engine optimization and branding, I look forward to applying my unique outlook and experiences to help The Discovery Communications Group dominate these industries.

Myke Fortier - Production Manager

I am a graduate of Saint Anselm College where I majored in Business Administration and minored in Environmental Science. After interning at The Discovery Communications Group during my senior year at Saint Anselm, I was hired full time in the fall of 2010. I have acquired an enormous amount of online marketing and advertising knowledge while working at DCG, including search engine optimization, pay per click campaign implementation, social media marketing, as well as traditional methods such as print design.

As the Production Manager, I manage multiple projects, ranging from website design and development to newspaper and billboard ads. The delegation of multiple tasks offers a very rewarding outcome for our clients. Project management has been the focus of my time here at DCG, but I have recently ventured into a Sales role as well, looking for creative ways to generate new business.

I spend most of my free time fishing, boating and enjoying the outdoors with friends and family.Currently residing in Malden, MA, I enjoy attending concerts and other events in the nearby city of Boston.

Len Printz - Lead Designer

I am a graduate of Clark University in Worcester, MA, where I specialized in Digital Design and Typography.  Today, I have over 18 years of design experience, as well as more than 15 years of experience in the field of web development. As the Lead Designer for the Discovery Communications Group, I use my proficiency in front-end web design, development and print design to provide exceptional design services for all our clients.

I have extensive experience as a senior web developer and designer at multiple New Hampshire advertisement agencies, which allows me to bring a unique blend of design and technical skills to the table. It is my goal at the Discovery Communications Group to help grow not only our own company, but yours, as well.

In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my wife, Danielle, and our 5-year-old daughter, Skylar, and 3-year-old son, Boston.

Melissa Helmers - Social Media Manager

I graduated from the University of Utah in 2008 with a degree in Editorial Journalism and a minor in French. After spending several years working in copy writing, grant writing and web marketing in Salt Lake City, Utah, I relocated to New Hampshire to work as a marketing coordinator for a non-profit ski destination. Specializing in copy writing, editing and social media, I am excited to continue to learn and grow in the world of marketing with the Discovery Communications Group.

I am also a competitive open water swimmer and an avid reader. I own and operate my own book reviewing website, i swim for oceans, in my free time where I proudly flaunt the reading age of a perpetual teenager.
