Our ramblings about marketing and web development – What's new and exciting this week

After Mashable determined that there is no official Social Media Day, they took it upon themselves to create one. On June 30, 2010, Mashable invites you to celebrate the revolution of media becoming a social dialogue by attending or organizing a Social Media Day meetup in your area. After all, Foursquare got its own day didn’t it?

On Wednesday, June 30, Mashable will be organizing meetups in cities that they have staff in using Meetup Everywhere. If there is an organized meetup in your area, you should attend. If there isn’t a meetup, organize one (you can do this by visiting Meetup Everywhere).

Social media continues to change the means of communication on a daily basis. It has changed the way we connect with one another, network, view the news, organize our lives, conduct our work, and much more. This calls for a celebration! What do you think?
