There’s bad news for Android fans out there. While the newest and most recent version Android has the most updated features and services, it will NOT support Adobe’s Flash Player.
Adobe released in a statement on Friday, June 29, “There will be no certified implementations of Flash Player for Android 4.1.” Usually, Android integrates the Adobe Flash Player in its devices in the factory or by system updates. In fact, most Android-based devices that didn’t have the certified version of Flash were able to download it from the Google Play store.
Android, however, states that this will not be the case any longer, as they have stopped developing and testing the Adobe Flash Player on Android 4.1 and its available browsers. So, what does this mean for you? Beginning August 15, 2012, users wishing to access the Flash Player through Google Play will only be able to do so on devices that already have the program installed.
