You might be able to see me in the background of Ryan Gosling’s movie, The Place Beyond the Pines. The movie was filming in my hometown, Schenectady, NY, and I was lucky enough to have a chance to be an extra in it. Although I didn’t get to actually speak to Ryan, I did get to play with his dog, George.
I went to college at the State University of New York at Oneonta with the intent of majoring in Child and Family Studies. I originally planned on being a School Counselor, but after taking a Computer Art course as an elective, I knew I had to go after my first love of design and earned a dual degree in Graphic Design as well as Child and Family Studies. I have loved art and creating things ever since I was child. In first grade I was the First Prize Winner in Mickey Mouse’s Stuff for Kids birthday card contest. After college, I had the amazing experience of interning with Octagon, one of the top sports marketing agencies in the world. I had the privilege of designing for a variety of professional athletes from the NBA, NFL and MLB. Besides my love for design, I still love working with kids and I help run programs at my local YMCA.
As a designer at DCG, I take everything they throw at me. I love creating pieces that are bold and stand out. I especially bring an eye for logo design and corporate branding. Its a great sense of accomplishment to help a company define who they are and make a mark that they are proud to share.
